Advice for a Summer Move

This summer has been a hot one.  We suggest you take extra care while working outside. If you happen to be dealing with a move this summer, taking extra measures is critical.  Morrison Moving has over Three decades of knowledge handling crews working outdoors year round throughout Hamilton and the Niagara Region. To assist you with your summer move, we have compiled our best guidelines for staying cool in the heat.

TRY TO SLOW DOWN

Don't anticipate top speeds in hot weather. Plan for the move to take longer than normal. Allow your group to take repeated breaks in the shade.

MAKE A SOLID PLAN

Take into account it is often coolest in the morning. Plan the most challenging tasks earlier in the day.

STAY HYDRATED

Be sure you have cold water handy through the day. If you happen to be in the heat without water, go to a nearby restaurant to fill up your water bottle. We advise freezing a few water bottles the night before to guarantee that you have cool water available.

WHERE SUN GLASSES
Give your eyes protection with UVA and UVB sunglasses.

DRESS PROPERLY

Apply sunscreen to your skin 20 minutes before you head out.  Wear loose-fitting, light coloured clothing and a hat.
